FOX Brasil Freight Forwarder

FOX Brasil | Project Logistics recently achieved a unique logistical feat: Moving a complete metal recycling plant with components manufactured in five different locations across four countries. Cataloging

For this project, FOX Brasil | Project Logistics wanted to go beyond just providing transportation services! Our team aimed higher, carefully documenting and cataloging to ensure efficient assembly at the construction site after the delivery. Specialized lifting equipment and a comprehensive transport plan were devised for safe movement of all parts!

Multi-National Considerations

One of the most challenging aspects of the operation was certainly dealing with the diverse regulatory landscapes of four countries. Our project logistics team secured the necessary customs clearances, and permits, addressed transportation restrictions for each shipment, and was able to apply and secure the benefit of TAX exemption in Brazil for this particular equipment, which is highly important to the waste industry development and is also so exclusive that it has no similar equipment in the country. FOX Brasil’s Customs Clearance division is committed to studying all the regulations and equipment’s data-sheet to make sure the client will experience a smooth and outstanding clearance process.

There were nineteen separate sea shipments totaling 2.180 FRTONS required meticulous coordination aligned with the equipment assembly sequence!

Global Coordination and Execution

Seamless communication was essential. Dedicated teams at each origin point liaised with local authorities, shipping companies, and trucking firms. Real-time tracking and continuous communication ensured the timely arrival of each component at the destination.

Assembly

Finally, at the new location, the assembly began. Utilizing detailed inventory and assembly plans, the equipment was assembled on time and precisely as the engineering plan. Take a look at some pictures of the pieces being put together based on their assembly sequence to have a better idea of the proportion of this challenging operation:

The operation was conducted with safety, without any damage to the pieces, and with reduced costs, improving the lead time of the entire logistical operation.
